This hasn't been asked, but if anyone is interested in the story behind my book covers, I've decided to provide an explanation here.
For Zartoto, you'll notice "Abduction" starts off as calm, but by "Parallel Agenda," you'll see it's more chaotic. This is telling the story of the series in a subtle way that will be understood by the end of "Parallel Agenda."
For Foothills Fae Academy, each book gets darker than the last. In "Book One," it's pretty innocent and childish. The characters go through some stress, but in reality, they are just enjoying going to a new magical school and freedom. They are just getting into innocent relationships and meeting new people.
"Book Two" is kind of innocent, too. It's a little more mature, but still pretty immature at the same time. The characters are just learning that not everyone can be trusted, even those they love.
Each cover slowly gets darker as the series goes on because each book gets darker. That's why you'll notice that the color slowly fades from "Book One," an innocent book, to "Book Four" when they're adults and dealing with a lot more than just school, friendships, or relationships.
The characters undergo a lot of changes from the first book to the last, which is why I started them so young. It was meant to show them go from innocent school kids to people who have gone through a lot.
